It installs like an app and behaves like one: its own icon, no address
bar, and the whole screen for the show. It is the same site - your account, your
badges and your points come with it.
Your browser can do this in one tap. The steps below work too.
Your device
iPhone and iPad
Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow coming out of the top.
It is at the bottom of the screen in Safari, and next to the address bar in Chrome.
Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add, top right.
The icon lands on your home screen. Open it from there rather than
from the browser, or you get the tab again instead of the app.
Android
Tap the menu — ⋮ at the top right in Chrome,
≡ at the bottom right in Samsung Internet.
Tap Add to Home screen, or Install app if it says that instead.
Tap Install to confirm.
It goes in your app drawer with everything else, and opens
without the browser around it.
Windows, Mac and Linux
Look at the right-hand end of the address bar for the install icon — a
little screen with an arrow pointing into it.
Click it, then click Install.
No icon there? Open the menu — ⋮ in Chrome,
⋯ in Edge — and look for
Install Outnumbered (in Chrome it may sit under Cast, save and share).
It gets a window of its own, and lives in the Start menu, the Dock
or your launcher like anything else.
Safari on Mac
Open the File menu.
Choose Add to Dock.
Give it a name if you like, then click Add.
Needs macOS Sonoma or newer. On anything older, Chrome or Edge will
install it — or just keep the tab.
Firefox on a computer
Firefox on a desktop does not install web apps. Two ways round it,
neither of them a climbdown:
On Android, Firefox does install it: menu
⋮, then Add to Home screen.
On a computer, open this page in Chrome or Edge and the install
icon appears in the address bar.
Not what you are holding? Pick one:
What it changes
The whole screen. No address bar, no tab strip — on a phone that is
about a fifth of the picture back, and the show is built to fill it.
One tap to get in. An icon on the home screen instead of a browser,
a tab and a bookmark.
Nothing to download. It is the same site, so it is never out of date and
there is no store in the way.
It can tell you when a show is on. Turn that on under
show alerts - and on an iPhone, installing it is what makes
notifications possible at all.
It is still a website: sign in once and your
account, badges and points are the same in both.
